Abstract

The dissertation entitled “The Buddha Dhamma Learning in Sattamahāsathān Based on the youths Participatory Medias Creation is of three objectives: 1) to study the background and importance of the Sattamahāsathān. 2) to learn the Buddha Dhamma in the Sattamahāsathān, and cerate the medias by the youth’s participation and 3) to analyze the learning Buddha Dhamma in Sattamahāsathān based on the youths’ Participatory Medias Creation.  This work is done by the Participatory Action Research-PAR with the Experimental Design.  The results are as follows:

On the background and importance of the Sattamahāsathān, it is closely concerned with the 7 weeks situations after the Buddha enlightened and enjoyed the happiness of liberation with the various gestures, such as siting and standing and walking in 7 weeks around the Great 7 Places known as the “The Sattamahāsathān”. Those 7 places are: the first; the Bodhipallanga, the second; the Animissacetiya, the third; the Rattanacankamacetiya, the fourth; the Rattanagharacetiya, the fifth; the Ajapalanigrodha, the sixth ; the Muccalinda Pond, the seventh; the Rajayatana. 

On Buddha Dhamma in Sattamahāsathān, Manifates of Buddha Dhamma were fond such as : the Inter-dependent Origination, the Four Noble Truth, in Bodhiballanga, the gratitudes and meditation in Animissacetiya, the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, Meditation, Wisdom in Rattanacankamacetiya, the 7 Abhidhamma, in Rattanagharacetiya, the four Kinds of Human Beings in Ajapalanigrodha, the Calmness, Happiness and Nibbana in Muccalinda, and Giving, Morality and Mental Development in Rajayatana. Meantime, the youths have to create the Medias of learning Buddha Dhamma by participatory action, the results were found that the Pre-test scores were 20.85 points, and the post-test scores were 40.09, the pre-test standard deviation scores 5.48 and post-test scores were 5.80. When comparing the values between D. 8.36 and Value t. 52.11, the post-test scores were higher than pre-test scores at the statistical significance .05.

The analysis on learning Buddha Dhamma in Sattamahāsathān based on the youths’ Participatory Medias Creation was evaluated into 5 aspects : 1) On the creativity, the total average at 3.6 and SD at 0.61 are at a high level. 2) On the creative content, the total average at 3.6 and SD at 0.76 are also at the high level. 3) On the story telling technique, the average total at 3.62 and the SD at 0.91 are at a high level. 4) On the use of language and music, the total average at 3.6 and SD at 0.73 are at a high level. 5) On the production quality, the average total at 3.6 and SD at 0.61 are at the high level. In the whole evaluations, the average value is at 3.6 and SD is at 0.71. That is valued at a high level. This ensures that the learning medias are indeed satisfactory tools.
