Abstract

The objectives of this research are; 1) to study the general condition of teaching and learning management, 2) to develop the teaching and learning management model according to the 3 wisdom principles, and 3) to present the development of teaching and learning model based on the 3 wisdom principles. The multidisciplinary research method was used in the study. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaires from 390 students of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by focus group discussions with 10 experts.

 

              The research results found that:

 

              1. The general condition of teaching and learning overall is at a high level. The highest level is on measurement and evaluation, followed by course content, instructors, learners, and context or teaching environment respectively.

              2. The development of teaching and learning model based on the 3 wisdom principles consists of 3 parts; Part 1: Leading consisting of teaching and learning management and education quality assurance, Pat 2: Model consisting of 1) work system, 6 components of teaching and learning management, and 2) management process, arrangement of teaching and learning activities according to the teaching reform guidelines, Part 3: Implementation consisting of 1) Structure, 2) Decision making, 3) Assessment guidelines, and 4) Conditions depending on the contexts of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and its campuses. The model was examined and approved in its suitability and applicability.

              3. The development of the teaching and learning model according to the 3 principles of wisdom consists of 3 parts; Part 1: Leading consisting of environment, principle, teaching and learning management, and education quality assurance, Part 2: Model consisting of 1) work system, 6 components of teaching and learning management, and 2) the management process, arrangement of teaching and learning activities according to the teaching reform guidelines, Part 3: Implementation consisting of 1) Structure 2) Decision making, 3) Assessment guidelines, and 4) Conditions based on the context of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and its campuses.
