Abstract

This dissertation named “An Application of the Buddhadhamma to Promote Buddhist Good Governance in Solving Problems for EGAT’s Central Office Bangkruai District, Nonthaburi Province”. The objective are  1) to study the concepts of Good Governance and principles related to conducting business in Buddhism,      2) to study problem state within an organization for EGAT’s employees at the central office Bangkruai, Nonthaburi Province and 3) to application of the Buddhadhamma for Buddhist Good Governance for EGAT’s employees at the central office Bangkruai, Nonthaburi Province. This is a qualitative research, the methodology has done by studying a documentary research and In-dept Interview from 98 key performances of EGAT’s  employees at central office Bangkruai, Nonthaburi Province. By divided into 48 executives and 50 employees in order to obtain clearer information of management of the said organization.

The findings show : 1. Good governance is a form of good governance management in which its concept derived from the West. It is an organizational management using moral as a leader in the operation. This good governance is in accordance with the Thith 6, Aparihaniyatham 7, Supbhurissatham 7 for the management of self, person and work ; 2. Applying the Buddhadhamma, integrating with the principles of good governance to the work to provide a good way of manage and perform the duties of the executives and employees of EGAT in order to create transparency in the administration. Management on individual level can be done by implementing the path of accomplishment as a self-monitoring to think well and good practice. Using the four sublime states of mind principle for working together with harmonious and respect. An application on the four principles of bias for executives of justice, fair and impartial. Finally, applying the six directions are to be used. The servants and workmen are located in below direction is a role between executive and employees. While friends and companions are located in left direction is a role between friends for working with other ; 3.The integration among the good governance, principle of morality, principle of transparency, accountability, responsibility principle of value, including organizational values of EGAT can practically apply for the executive and employees of the organization.
