The Guidelines for Academic Administration Based on The Good Governance of Small Size Secondary School in Nakhonsawan Province

Abstract

 The purposes of this research were 1) to study the state of academic administration based on good governance of small size secondary schools in Nakhonsawan province, 2) to compare the state of academic administration based on good governance of small size secondary schools in Nakhonsawan province, and 3) to present guidelines for academic administration based on good governance of small size secondary schools in Nakhonsawan province. The samples were 175 school administrators and teachers. The research instruments were questionnaire and interview form. The statistics used for data analysis were Percentage, Arithmetic mean, Standard Deviation, t-test and One Way ANOVA.

The findings were :

1. The state of academic administration based on  good governance of small size secondary schools in Nakhonsawan province totally of sides was at the high level and item concentration was at the high level. The results were respectively shown from the highest to the lowest as follows: Instruction management, Curriculum administration, Measurement and evaluation, Internal supervision and Academic personnel development.

2. According to differences in personal factors, the comparison of school administrators and teachers’ opinions about state of academic administration based on good governance of small size secondary schools in Nakhonsawan province were significantly difference. It rejects the hypothesis set.

3. The study found guidelines for academic administration based on good governance of small size secondary schools in Nakhonsawan province. It is essential to apply good governance as a guiding framework for academic administration management. Management must adhere to the principles of participation and equality so that the academic administration can progress effectively and respond to everyone’

sneed. School administrators and teachers must be responsible and uncorrupt. Moreover, they should put the right man in the right job based on the rules and merciful consensus management to make school continue to prosper.
