The Roles of Promotion to Buddhism for the Military Officials Region of the 4th Infantry Brigade

            The purpose of this research was study the Role of Support Religious Brigade, 4th Infantry and comparison the opinions about support region of the 4th Infantry. The population in this study was the 4th Infantry Brigade officials who work within the camp of King Naresuan and were identified 169 Buddhists by house registration. The instrument utilized was questionnaire collection by the researcher. The data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested by  t-test for the variation ranking in 2, and f-test or one way ANOVA for the ranking in 3 onwards when finding the differences in pair comparison at the least significant difference (LSD).       

            Findings of the research were as follows: The status of all the respondents is male of 100 %. 32% of them were 31-40 years. 43.20% of the military ranks of respondents were Lance Corporal – Sergeant. They had educational qualification is a bachelor's degree or equivalent accounted for 48.10%. Today, they live in public housing of 63.30%.

            Level of participation in the important Buddhist religious day of the 4th Infantry Brigade officers was medium that it had an average cost of 2.98. The most participation of them was Visakha Buja Day, Makha Buja Day and Makha Buja Day, with an average cost of 3.85. The Practice of the 8 Buddhist Precepts is the least popular activity which was at 2.25 0f the average.

          The level of participation in the restoration of region of the 4th Infantry Brigade officers was medium with an average of 2.58. Donation to temple is the most participated which was at 3.36 0f the average. Cleansing of Meru was the least popular activity at 2.25 of the average.

          The level in acting according to the principles of Buddhism of region of the 4th Infantry Brigade officials was medium with an average of 3.10. Light waving rite in the important Buddhist religious day was the most participated activity which was at 3.75 of the average. Vipassana Meditation and Daily Meditation were the least participated activity with an average of 2.25.
