Abstract

          This thesis an analysis the five dhamma in aesthetical of theravadã Buddhist philosophy was a documentary with three main purposes: (1) to study the beauty in aesthetics, (2) to study Bencadhamma in Theravãda philosophy, and (3) to analyze the beauty and value of Bencadhamma in Theravãda philosophy.

          A result of this study was found that the western aesthetics had opposite beliefs. Both morality and art appreciation gave absolutely different reasons. The theory of Beauty was the center to mention all groups referring to the beauty and to examine whether it was the beauty or not. The aesthetical experience was one way of examination about the beauty. In the western or eastern philosophy, the value of aesthetics was the quality of material created and decorated for beauty. It was not aesthetic because all people accepted it as the aesthetic. In fact, the aesthetic did not arise because it was accepted as the aesthetic by the human consideration or examination whether it was aesthetic or not. On the contrary, it was aesthetic because that material had a quality of the real aesthetic.

 

          The beauty and value in Bencadhamma was starting the observance of Dhamma. This caused the value in the individual life and the other people. When one had done it greatly, one got the great value, sustainable Dhamma, and great benefits. The Benefits were possibly true value or untrue value. All of them were very useful to make people and societies believe that it was a moral man with the value of looking at the worldly value and the religious value. Thus, he became the most important person at the end.

The analytical study was found that a person would be in the first level of AriyaPuggala with self-development step by step. Similarly, he would not leave Bencadhamma in his practice to reach the highest level (Nibbana) in order to make the humanshood complete. Then, he brought the other Buddhist principles into the practice for such achievement. The beauty and value from such practice covered the beauty in the beginning, the beauty in the middle level and the beauty in the last level. Thus, the apparent value was value to bring only benefits to human societies.
