Abstract

Abstract

              The objectives of this research are 1) to study the school environmental administration, 2) to do a comparative study of administrators’ and teachers’ ideas towards the school environmental administration and 3) to study the ways of developing the environmental administration in the schools under the Office Primary Educational Service Area of Samutprakan, zone 1. The populations used for the research are administrators and teachers in 4 primary schools under the Office of Primary Educational Service Area of Samutprakan Zone 1. This is a quantitative research. The instrument used for collecting the data is the questionnaire in the form of Rating Scale with the value of agreement at 0.8 – 1.00 and the value of confidence at the level 0.87. The data are analyzed  with evaluating frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and One-Way ANOVA.

              The result of research study :

              1. The mean of the environmental administration in the schools under the Office Primary Educational Service Area of Samutprakan, zone 1, in whole, is at the high level. Being considered as aspects, it is found that the aspect of administration and management is the most important to the environmental administration. The second one is the aspect of public relations given to community, the aspect of learning management and the aspect of holding the activity promoting learning.

              2. In the comparative research of attitude towards the environmental administration in the schools under the Office Primary Educational Service Area of Samutprakan, zone 1, it is found that the attitude is at the high level in all 4 aspects with statistical significance at the level of 0.05 and the aspect in which the idea is the highest is the aspect of administration and management. The second one is the aspect of public relations given to community, the aspect of learning management and the aspect of holding the activity promoting learning, respectively.

              3. For the ways of developing the environmental administration in the schools under the Office Primary Educational Service Area of Samutprakan, zone 1, it should hold supervision, following up, assessment of doing the environment work periodically, school environment campaign, assessment of doing the environment work. In the aspect of learning, the schools should be the leaders of holding the activity of environment preservation  on the holy days, by the way of school personnel’s participation in the process of learning management, supply the medias; newspapers, magazines, knowledge copies, DVD, VCD, feature articles, internet information of library environment. In the aspect of holding the educational activity, the students should be allowed to take a part of school environment preservation, holding the competition of school environmental activity, promoting the applying local objects which are economic and worthwhile for holding activities. In the aspect of cooperation of relation to community, the schools should take a part of doing the environmental activity together with community and do cooperation to solve the environmental problems together with community.
