Abstract

  The objectives of this research were (1) to study the individual factor of the people in the area of KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization Thawatpuri District,Roi-Et Province, (2) to study the performance following the Rajadhamma (virtue of the rulers) according to the view of the people in the area of KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization, (3) to do a comparative study of performance following the Rajadhamma according to the different view of the people in the area of KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization, and to study the effective methods in developing the performance system based on the Rajadhamma of the the area of KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization. This research was conducted based on Mixed Method: Quantitative Research which mainly focused on Survey Researchand  Qualitative Research that applied In-Depth Interview and referred to Key Informants of the KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization. The Sample were the people whose age was over 18 years old and live in the area of KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization, 327 in total, and obtained the Sample by means ofKrejcieand Moregan’s methods. The research instrument used in this study were questionnaires, the best form of interview question that the researcher made from integrating the principle of Rajadhamma in which it had reliable at 0.948, analyzed the data with Frequency, Percentage, Means, Standard Deviation, t-test, One way analysis of variance , and method of Least Significant Difference : LSD.

The results of the study were found that 
1. Most of the people in the area of KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization were female, 52.9 aged between 31-45 years old, and 30.6 for 46-60 years old. These two groups of people achieved academic progress lower than High school 54.4, had been married 65.7, and 66.1 were in volved in agriculture.   
2. The performance following the principle of Rajadhamma of the KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization according to the view of the people, at the whole picture, resulted in middle scale ( (X ) ̅= 2.97); while examining  in each aspects found that the performance following the principle of Rajadhamma of the KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization according to the view of the people resulted at middle scale which could be classified further from the less to the largest Means thus: Avihimsa or non-violence (X ̅= 3.06); Avirodhanaor conformity to the law (X ̅= 3.05) ; Maddava or kindness and gentleness (X ̅= 3.02), Akkodha or non-anger (X ̅=3.02); Khantior patience (X ̅= 3.01); Ajjava or honesty (X ̅= 2.97); Tapa or austerity (X ̅= 2.91); Pariccaga or self- sacrifice (X ̅= 2.89); Dana or generosity (X ̅= 2.88); and Sila or morality (X ̅= 2.87).
3. Those people who have different social status also had different view over the performance of the performance following the principle of Rajadhamma of the KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization, that was opposite to the set hypothesis. But, those people who were different in gender, age, academic achievement, and occupation had the same attitude toward the performance of the performance following the principle of Rajadhamma of the KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization in which, again, there was the rejection to the set hypothesis.  
4. The principle to develop the performance following the principle of Rajadhamma of the KhwaothongSub-District Administrative Organization were to give or donate without expectation or return, not necessary to be a material thing but love, forgiveness, be courageous, and care to all class of the people; be disciplined to the law of the nation, self-controled in all aspects; be generous and hones; speak with gentle words, be patient and rule accordingly to the law. giving service to the people with equality, and wholeheartedly dedicate for the happiness and well-being of the many, not focusing on special groups.
